Ningaloo Coral Bay

Challenge

Coral Bay is the only place in the world where the Ningaloo Reef comes ashore. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, it’s an oasis set on the edge of the outback and the management team are keenly aware of their responsibility to this pristine environment and are careful not to do anything that might negatively affect the ecosystem.

Offering a range of family-friendly accommodation including powered campsites and self-contained villas as well as a bistro bar, shops, boat trips and tours with a playground, jumping pillow, swimming pool, resident goanna, manta rays and dolphins in the bay.

Despite being so well regarded, many visitors – especially the international ones – searched for Ningaloo experiences then went to Exmouth instead.

Process

After a visit to Coral Bay for research purposes, we had a visceral understanding of the powerful impact offered by being so close to the natural wonders of the Ningaloo.

It’s a heady combination of being at the edge of a natural phenomenon and the laid-back charm and ‘take your shoes off’ vibe of the ‘Bay.

It really is remote but never feels isolated, because of the welcoming feeling that the staff create, effortlessly.

Result

Renaming, repositioning and rebranding the site to Ningaloo Coral Bay, we’ve started to express the sense of wonder created ‘Where the reef meets the beach’, with global digital marketing to reflect the incredible experiences created.

With a brandmark designed to be ‘friendly and relaxed’ we’ve been working alonside the NCB over the past year to redesign everything from international campaigns and local wayfinding, brand messaging and communication assets, along with redesigning the UX and UI design to update their website which has thousands of visitors a week.

The new website features full booking functionality and is now live, click on the button below to visit website.

The Christmas 2016 campaign went well as it was new and original… the videos were beautiful to watch…
